About Tanjung Lestari
Our Organization
Tanjung Lestari is an organization founded by a group of youths from Sungai Sekonyer village.
We are based in Sungai Sekonyer Village in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Tanjung Lestari was established with the aim of protecting biodiversity and its ecosystem, supporting the government in maintaining and protecting conservation areas, conducting conservation education to the public, assisting the community to be independent, care for the environment and use nature in a sustainable manner.
Our Mission
In order to achieve our goals, we carry out several activities, including:

1. Managing forests to become wildlife habitats by planting trees at ex-mining and ex-fire sites, and also monitoring forest ecosystems.
​
2. Educating and campaigning about forest ecosystems to local communities as well as outside communities including international community.
3. Assisting local community to develop ecotourism based on wildlife and forest conservation.
